If you have a promotional code valid on a subscription, simply mention it at the time of payment and the discount will be applied automatically.

How can I take advantage of a discount code on a subscription if I already have one?

Promo codes are only valid on new subscriptions. To take advantage of them, you will need to cancel your current subscription and take out a new one.
